Quote for the day

"The death of an old man (or woman) is like a burning library!"

This from a teacher at the local school. Also, had much time this AM taking 'goodie' bags to the residents at Kandiana (retirement/old folks' home) and then visiting. Took lots of pictures. Everyone was so excited to see us, again. More God in the faces of the Zambian people. Also, had the village's local carvers come to the mission this evening with all of their artwork. Most of us were able to 'support' them by purchasing carvings. Yea!!!

God bless you all! Keep those comments coming. Dinner time......
More hugs, Pam

Thank you all for taking the time to write and tell us what you are doing--it means so much and helps us with specific prayer requests (as in a doctor!).

Pam--give Josh a hug--the house is very quiet!

Love and prayers--Jane (and Tom!)

Africa is amazing! There is a lot to process so I will shorten what I/we did today. First thing in the morning we brought sacks of food to the elderly home. We took the time to talk and personalize our time. Later we worked on the hippo house where Jon, Elliot, Emilee and I went to OVC. We played volleyballl with the boys for a while (which was SO MUCH FUN!!) then us girls helped serve lunch. It was an overall great experience. Following that we met up with the entire group for Jesus Quest. This was complete chaos. There were over 300 kids atleast, of all ages, rather than only 8th and 9th. Afterwards we all helped train the teachers on our computers. That went very well beginning with the basics. Hope everone is well. <3 Ellie

Well us Rookie blogers are having a bit of trouble but we will keep trying. Hopefully this will go through. It sounds as if you all are close to touching the face of God. You inspire us and our prayers are with you all.
